As we have worked with schools as well as through CReATE STUDIO’s donation program we found pencils, markers, crayons, glue sticks, pencil sharpeners, erasers and scissors are often cast off as unwanted for any number of reasons.
It struck us that maybe being cast off doesn’t have to be the end of the road for these school supplies.
When gathered together they seem rejuvenated, intentional and ready to help kids learn, explore, discover, share and create. We decided to pilot a program for their reuse through an opt-in program for students and families who want to keep using the school supplies they had used the school year prior.

We have a growing list of everyday school supplies we are currently collecting, reorganizing and making ready for reuse.
