Founder & President
Jemma Wildermuth is owner of CReATE STUDIO, A mobile pop-up studio company based in Westlake Village, CA. She is parent to two adult daughters and spent their K-12 years focused on volunteering through classroom participation, art programing, campus beautification and developing a recycling program at White Oak, their elementary school.
In 2009, with a propensity to reuse, create, and recycle in her own life, Jemma founded CReATE STUDIO, a unique art studio experience with a focus on individual art exploration through the creative reuse of recycled household materials. Focusing on creative exploration through reuse, she began working with schools , offering field trips and school project resources to support students and their campuses.
CReATE STUDIO continues to provide the same creative experiences to her community and the schools within them. During the early Pandemic unfolding Jemma pivoted CReATE STUDIO to a mobile pop-up format.
At the studio we call creativity “a thinking muscle in our brains”. It’s defined as the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships or the like and to create meaningful new ideas, forms methods, interpretations, etc. The good news is we All have it, remember, it’s a thinking muscle, but like any muscle we need opportunities to exercise it.
“Because of my experiences with creativity at the studio and my involvement at my kids schools I founded the non-profit organization, CReATE ON YOUR CAMPUS to bring the same philosophy to school campuses by reusing their campus materials for art and curriculum reuse”.
